Dream Haircut, These Tips will Help You

Sunday, August 10, 2008

  1. Don’t Cross Your Legs. Believe it or not, -- it skews your posture, so don't cross your legs when you sit in the stylist's chair, otherwise, your cut could be uneven once you stand up. Instead, sit up in the chair, legs uncrossed.
  2. Bring Pictures. The biggest hair disasters arise when your stylist doesn't understand what you want. Pictures will help convey your message. Better communication, better result.
  3. Be Realistic. You may love a cut on a celebrity, or a magazine model, but keep in mind that your hair may not be the same texture or your face may not be the same shape as hers, or, the cut won't look the same on you. Ask your stylist for variations appropriate to you.
  4. Show With Your Hand. Don’t tell your stylist how many inches you would like to be cut, show your stylist with your hand where you'd like your hair to fall.
  5. Color After Hair Cut. Don’t choose your hair color until you've trimmed. Only add highlights or try a new shade after you see the cutting result.
  6. Go for Advice From a Stylist. Hair styling keeps your haircut refreshed. So, as your stylist finishes your hair, don’t be heisted to ask your home styling process details and tips.
  7. Renew Your Products. To get the right effect for your new haircut, get the latest info of new hair styling products available in the market.
  8. Surprise Yourself. Sometimes, an unexpected urge to go a new hair cut style you have never thought about, it might be just perfect for you! So, surprise yourself!
Which styles go well with your type of hair?

  • Thin and fine hair: If your hair is thin and fine, keep it short and fluffy
  • Medium or coarse hair: This hair can handle most styles
  • Heavy or thick hair: If your hair is heavy or thick, keep it at a medium length or it will not hang well.

Miriam Quiambao In Playboy Philippines August 2008

Saturday, August 9, 2008

Binibining Pilipinas 1999 & Miss Universe 1999 First Runner-up Miriam Quiambao graced the cover of Playboy Philippines August issue. I heard the previous editor of Playboy has been fired and replaced with a new one, but I don't see any difference when Priscilla Meirelles was still on the cover.

Tips-How To Pick an Outfit

Friday, August 8, 2008

People would do anything just to keep up with today's fashion. Other copy the clothing style they've see on a magazine cover, other recreate what their fave celebrities are wearing. But for some, they don't care what is the latest trend, they would wear anything they prefer. For other they want to be unique to stand-out from the crowd, they would wear a punky vintage t shirts for example. Here are some useful tips on how to pick a perfect outfit:

1. It actually depends on where you are going, think first what other people there might wear. Of course you want to stand out, yet not be the center of attention.

2. Going for classy or a sleek look? try a khaki trouser pants with a silk top. If it's casual you're looking for, try a pair of a flared vintage jeans and a tank top with lace trim.

3. Be sure to accessorize! If it's classy you want, a subtle earrings will add to your look. Just make sure that they aren't too unusual.

4. Put on makeup last to avoid smears on your clothes.

5. Remember, do your hair only after you are completely dressed. If you have a long hair, try braiding it the night before & taking it out as soon as you wake up. Let those waves hang loose, giving you an easygoing & yet elegant style. If you have shorter hair, make a side part with a cute clip.

"Philippine All Stars" Hits World HipHop Championship

Filipino pride "Philippine All Stars" gave Pinoys another reason to be proud of when the group bring home the title in the 2008 World Hip-Hop Championship at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada.

More than 1500 dancers from 25 countries participated in that spectacular event. They always been compared to Jabbawockeez of America's Best Dance Crew but I heard there's Pinoy in that group too, sweet! Dance-off please?
